March 2012 is all about delivery and partnership.
BroadView enters into a partnership with BBN
The BusIness Branding Network has partnered with BroadView to offer a customised approach to the development and delivery of video strategies. "In the past few years, we have seen an explosion of video as a medium which allows to effectively communicate with a wide range of audiences. I am a firm believer in the power of video when properly integrated into the digital marketing mix," pointed out Richard Brelet, Executive Director of BBN. "BroadView's experienced team not only produce high-quality videos, but they also propose cutting-edge solutions for integrating video in the online environment. This partnership comes at the right time, as BBN has launched a new integrated B2B offering."

Technology Sector
BT Global Services
We began the month by delivering two new internal communications animations for BT Global Services. One was an animation to showcase a new tool to create branded presentations and the other animation was to showcase their Global Ways of Working.
Both these animations use a combination of fast draw techniques and 3d graphical animations. Fast draw is an exciting animation that uses the idea of the screen being used as a white board, and then you see an illustrator’s hand drawing images with a marker pen that highlights or enhances the narrative.
We were also commissioned to produce a Fast Draw case study for external communications at BT Global Services. Here is a link to the Fiat Case Study so that you can see it in action:

BT Expedite and Fresca
We are now working closely with BT Expedite and Fresca, the part of BT that provides technology solutions to the retail sector.
Right now we are producing reports from the Retail Business Technology Expo at Earls Court, helping them to use video to really lift their blog on Retail Week’s site.
Financial Services
We are producing a range of videos for a financial services client to show their online customer base some of the investment options available to them. We launched this series with a short film on ISAs.
Their policies do not allow us to name the client, but together we have created 5 x 2 minute Issues videos with a presenter, that explains SIPPs; OEICs, SICAVs and Investment Trusts.
As well as the Issues films we have produced 6 x How To videos that walk the online customer through the journey of registering an online account and then explains how to reinvest, move your funds, invest in funds and understand what kind of investor you are.
We produced these using a technique called video capture. This is when you film the real journey, with mouse clicks through the web site. It is shot in real time with the ability to take close ups and highlight relevant sections. We then went into a studio and added a presenter . She was filmed in a green screen studio which allows the backgrounds to be changed in an edit and so the editor cut her image and then placed her inside the website. This technique personalises the journey, especially if the journey is complicated and it works well, just as long as no one wears green. If they do, they simply vanish into thin air!
Following delivery of these films, we have been commissioned to produce a further 23 videos for them, this time about Investment Trusts.
B2B
Stuart delivered a chapter for B2B marketing on Best Practice for Online Events. It took a great deal of blood sweat and tears but it is done, explains clearly how to define your online strategy for events and will be available soon.
B2C
Avis Budget EMEA
We are really excited to be in production with Avis Budget EMEA, producing BroadView Web Presenter modules in Portuguese.
The BroadView WebPresenter is a tool that engages with your online customers. It humanises your website by adding a person (presenter) to your online pages. The presenter can represent, your company, one of your staff or a customer needing guidance around the site. The tool sits as a simple line of code on top of your current site and can:
- Welcome your customers
- Encourage an upgrade
- Signpost your most relevant products and services
- Help your customers to understand
Avis is aiming to go live with this in April.
If there is anything we can help you with, email me at Kate.levy@broad-view.com or Stuart.maister@broad-view.com and we will be more than happy to help.
