Sony

To illustrate how Motionflow 200hz technology creates super smooth pictures, Sony built a massive zoetrope in the historic square of Venaria, near Turin in Italy. This device was used in the 19th century to create short films from a series of static images. The Sony version measured 10 metres across, spinning at over 40kph, and featured images of Brazilian footballing sensation Kaka performing his skills. Kaka himself was filmed watching the zoetrope in action alongside members of the public.

BroadView produced 11 videos and delivered B-roll explaining the development and the concept behind the BRAVIA-drome. It also included behind the scenes footage showing the making of the commercial. Alongside this, BroadView filmed football freestyler Dan Magness breaking three world records.

BroadView was also appointed to film the interview with Kaka’ held in front of hundreds of journalist in the press conference room of Milan AC and syndicate this as B-roll for broadcasters across Europe.
